President’s Message – February 2020
Hello Fellow Members,
At our Annual Meeting we concluded the 2019 season went well. 2020 is promising to be memorable. To start, the annual trip to the Meyersdale Buck Wheat Festival is on April 5th. Next up, May 26 we tour Ohio’s Amish country near Sugar Creek. Monthly meetings occur through May. Hoss’ Steak House in Belle Vernon, a popular and welcoming venue, continues as our choice of location for 2020. You really should make plans to attend. Dave Tomasic, our Communications Director, has been putting together some interesting videos to enlighten and entertain the group. Details for the upcoming meetings and tours will appear in flyers and on the web site. Mark your calendars!
Events this summer feature a car show in Lower Belle Vernon. I’m hoping to have a canopy set up with handout information about the AACA and our MVR club. We have to convince people of the benefits of joining. Plans for a flyer and past AACA magazines to pass out are maturing. For this reason, consider donating your old but recent Antique Auto Magazines. We will collect items at our monthly meetings. Still in the planning stages, an MVR exclusive car show at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art – combined with a tour of the museum and local dining experience.
I would like to remind everyone that this is your club and to get the most out of it you should take part. Be warned, you will have a good time! Get your old cars in shape and ready to tour like never before.
Russ Redshaw, MVR President
